Allan E. Copenhaver, 86, of Lock Haven passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2019 surrounded by his family at Jersey Shore Manor Care.
Born July 7, 1933 in Juniata County, he was a son of the late Frank and Verda Steffen Copenhaver.
Allan proudly served in the United States Army as a medic during the Korean War.
On November 3, 1955, he married his love, the former Marcia Phillips, with whom he celebrated almost 64 years of marriage.
Allan was a welder by trade. He retired from PennDOT’s Driver License Center after serving in various locations including Williamsport.
He attended God’s Eternal Life Church in Dunnstown.
Allan enjoyed working on cars and watching old-time movies. Most cherished was the time he spent with his wife, children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Marcia Copenhaver, he is survived by three children: Kathy (Harry) Blesh of Farrandsville, Sonya (Joe) Rossman of North Carolina and Tim Copenhaver of Houtzdale; an adopted son, Joseph Copenhaver at home; three grandchildren: Kristy, Jessica and Joel; seven great grandchildren: Kendall, Kash, Koen, Klaire, Zobie, Taylor and Teagan plus one on the way; two brothers, Frank Copenhaver, Jr. and James Copenhaver; two sisters, Patty Duncan and Jean Ann Flanigan; and his sister-in-law, Kathryn.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kitty June Copenhaver; four brothers: Robert, Kenneth, Dale, and Glenn Copenhaver; and a sister, Janet Shade.
Services will be held at the convenience of his family.
Memorial contributions in Allan’s name may be made to his church, God’s Eternal Life Church, through the funeral home.
