Barbara Tressler Obituary
Barbara Jo “Barbie” Tressler, 58, of Lamar, PA passed away peacefully on April 17, 2019 with her loved ones by her side.
She was born March 14, 1961 in Lock Haven, PA. She graduated from Bald Eagle Nittany High School in 1979 and was employed by Mt Nittany Medical Center where she truly enjoyed going to work every, single day.
She will be greatly missed by those who she leaves behind including her husband, Rich Tressler; son, Logan Fuller; beloved dog, Dooney; stepson, Richie Tressler; stepdaughter Chris Showers (Brian); father, Nevin Courter (Joyce); brother, Kenny Courter (Tracy); and many more family and friends who loved her so dearly. While leaving behind so many to cherish her through wonderful memories, Barbie has been welcomed into her Heavenly home by her mother, Phyllis Decker; stepfather, Dean Decker; and her grandparents.
Barbie was a kind and generous soul who found joy in the simple things in life. She loved summertime, tending to her flower gardens, lounging by the pool, and mowing her grass. Saturday nights out with friends listening to her favorite band, SNUG, was one of the things she enjoyed most. And shopping trips to Lancaster, Dooney & Bourke purses, and a fresh fountain Pepsi always made her heart happy.
While her time on Earth was far too short, she made quite an impact while she was here. She touched so many with just a simple smile or a short conversation. She will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to know her and be a part of her amazing life. We have all gained a beautiful guardian angel.
A memorial service in celebration of Barbie’s life will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 2 to 3 P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society or the American Liver Foundation.
