Betty Forster Obituary
Betty A. Forster, 92, of Flemington passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018 at her home.
She was born May 10, 1926 in Lock Haven.
In 1970 she married her love, Robert “Bob” Forster who preceded her in death in 1989.
Betty was employed by Sylvania for 23 years. She then owned and served as the lead cook of the Town Tavern for 45 years, working until she was 80 years old.
She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Agnes Catholic Church.
Betty was also a member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Sons of Italy.
She enjoyed cooking and watching daytime television, especially her soap operas.
She was known as “Aunt Betty” not only to her family but to many others as well.
Surviving were those she considered her own, her great niece who cared for her, Nicole Witner and her children, Noah and Lilianna, all of Flemington, her niece, Betsy (Jeff) Falls of Howard, her surrogate niece, Jenna (Aaron) Fillman of York and her surrogate nephew, Thane Geyer of Mill Hall; her best friend, Vicki (Al) Munz; five step-children: Kathy (Don) Hogan, Jeff (Linda) Forster, Judy (Bill) Young, Lisa (Earl) Andrus and Sharon Shoemaker; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her father, Vincent Bressi, and her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Anthony Bressi, James Bressi and Angelo Voucolo as well as her sister-in-law and best friend, Peg Bressi.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 1 p.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington. Private burial will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
