Carolyn Louise “Sissy” Kline, 83, a resident of Susque View Home passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019.
Born December 7, 1935 in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late Lemule Grant and Vanetta Mader Groce.
Sissy was a 1953 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
For many years she worked as a seamstress at various factories and then was employed as a fuel clerk at the former Boron.
Sissy was a member of Great Island Presbyterian Church.
She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and crafting as well as spending time outside in the sunshine. Sissy was also an avid professional wrestling fan. Most important to her was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are three children: Bonnie Pizzino (Joe Leonard) of North Bend, Donnie (Robin) Englert of Lock Haven and Vanetta Berry (Ernie Anderson, Sr.) of Maryland; a brother, Thomas Hoober of Florida; a sister, Nancy Crissman of Castanea; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and six great, great grandchildren with one more on the way.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, James and Robert Kline; a sister, Jacque Groce; and her step-mother, Mary Groce.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 1 P.M. at St. Luke’s United Church of Christ, 1175 W. 4th St., Lock Haven, PA 17745. Inurnment will take place privately at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Great Island Presbyterian Church or St. Luke’s United Church of Christ through the funeral home.
