Frederick L. “Junior” Bilby, Jr., 75, of Loganton, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 11, 2019.
He was born in Flemington on January 14, 1944, the son of the late Frederick L., Sr. and Ruby Wheeler Bilby.
Junior was a 1962 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
He was a talented mechanic, having worked at various local car dealerships before opening Bilby Repair Garage of Lock Haven which he owned and operated prior to his 18 year employment at the Clinton County Correctional Facility as a Corrections Officer until his retirement in 2001.
Junior was married to the former Margaret E. “Nancy” Herr Bilby for 31 years before her passing 1995.
On July 22, 2000, he married the former Janet Wagner, who survives.
He was a member of the Southern Clinton County Sportman’s Club.
Junior loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting in his earlier years. In his later years, when hunting was no longer desirable for him, he continued his love of animals as a wildlife enthusiast. He also enjoyed camping and working with his hands.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Deborah (Jeff) Eichenlaub of Virginia; three step-children, Alison (Frank) Gadd of Ohio, Erin Snyder of North Carolina and Philip Snyder of Lock Haven; two sisters, True Coleman and Shirley Shaffer, both of Lock Haven; six grandchildren, Adrean (Matt) Fortuna, Damon (Linda) Grove, Alicia (Levi) Wray, Amanda (Ryan) Flynn, Amelia Gadd and Lydia Gadd; and four great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ella Mae Spade and Miriam Vonada.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 16, 2019 at 1 P.M. at the Moriarty Funeral Home & Crematory, 112 E. Church St., Lock Haven, PA 17745 with Pastor Steve Silliman officiating. Burial will follow at Dunnstown Cemetery, Lock Haven.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 11 A.M. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Clinton County SPCA.
