Gary E. Kepler, 56, of Blanchard passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.
Born April 16, 1962 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Carole Nicastro and the son of Joseph (Patricia) Newman, Sr. who survive in Mill Hall.
Gary was a 1981 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
In 2003 he married the former Maria Irvin who survives.
Gary was employed by Clinton Logistics.
He enjoyed riding ATV, mountain rides, snake hunts, truck pools, Ford trucks, Harley Davidsons, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and drinking a cold Busch Beer. Most important to Gary, though, was the time he spent with his family, especially his wife, children and granddaughter.
In addition to his wife, Maria Kepler of Blanchard, he is survived by two children, Halley Kepler of Lock Haven and Brett Kepler of Jersey Shore; his granddaughter, Mea Laura; five siblings: Lisa (Bill) Bridgens of Lock Haven, Stacey (Terrill) Newman of Williamsport, Joseph (Michelle) Newman, Jr. of Beech Creek, Amanda Thomas of Mill Hall and Mike Thomas of Mill Hall; four nieces: Susan, Cheyenne, Melee and Shataya; three nephews: Mark, Dallas and Kyle; and a great nephew, Liam.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Eleanor Nicastro and his best friend and brother-in-law, Steve Ransdorf.
Friends and family will be received on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 2 until 4 P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington. A Service will follow at 4 P.M. with his father, Pastor Joseph Newman, Sr., officiating.
