Geraldine E. (McCaleb) Peters

Geraldine E. “Gerry” Peters, 90, of Flemington passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 at Susque View Home, Lock Haven.

Born March 4, 1928 in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late Glenn P. and Edna Tressler McCaleb.

Gerry was married to Dors A. Peters, Jr. who preceded her in death in 2004.

She was a Licensed Practical Nurse, working at the Lock Haven Hospital Emergency Room for 14 years and then at Dr. Delgrippo’s office for over 20 years.

Gerry loved ceramics and owned Gerry Peter’s Ceramic Shop for 18 years.

She was a member of the Flemington Church of Christ as well as the Red Hat Society.

Gerry enjoyed attending square dances at the Liberty Township Sportsman’s Club.

Surviving are two sons, Glenn D. (Teresa) Peters of Beech Creek and Mervin P. Peters of Dunnstown; a sister, Shirley McCaleb of Lock Haven; five grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Peters.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington with Pastor Larry Race officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall.

Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Memorial contributions in Gerry’s name may be made to Community Nursing Services through the funeral home.
