Jean L. Brungard, 87, of Long Run Rd., Mill Hall, passed away Friday, March 8, 2019 at Haven Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, Lock Haven.
She was born in Rote on November 2, 1931.
Jean was employed as a seamstress at Bobby Brooks in Lock Haven and Woolrich in Howard.
She was married to Rod Brungard, who preceded her in death in 1986.
Jean was a member of the Salona Lutheran Church. She was also past President of the Lamar Township PTA, taught sewing for the local 4-H youth organization, served as a volunteer for Meals-On-Wheel and worked as an Election Official for many years at the Lamar Township voting poll.
She enjoyed playing cards and traveling. Most of all, she loved the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda L. (Ken) Hinton of Rote; a son, Randy P. (Nikki) Brungard of Marsh Creek; five grandchildren, Tess (Jason) Wittler, Rich (Jennifer) Brungard, Adam (Liz) Hinton, Clint (Tiffany) Hinton and Paul (Kelsey) Brungard; and five great-grandchildren, Christopher, Blake and Miles Burngard, and Natalie, Parker and Kennedy Hinton.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jay A. Brungard; a grandson, Mathew Hinton; and a great-granddaughter, Faith Hinton.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 1 P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from noon until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Salona Lutheran Church.
