Jerry Loner Obituary

Jerry A. Loner died at home on October 13, 2019, of complications related to a Glioblastoma brain tumor. He bravely fought this terrible disease for seven months. He left this earth peacefully and surrounded by his family and our four beloved cats.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 22 years, Rebecca “Becky” (Muthler) Loner, a daughter, Macey (McBryan) Miscannon (Drew Miscannon), a son, Jesse Loner and a daughter, Marissa Loner (Donald Kaler); his mother, Marion Helminiak Loner; sister, Cindy Beaghley; and brothers, Dennis Loner (Lisa), Kenny Loner (Melissa) and David Loner. He also had many nieces and nephews including one special niece who he and his wife raised, Alexis Muthler-Harris.

He is pre-deceased by his father John Loner and his brother Tim Loner. He was a devoted husband, father, son, sibling and uncle. He loved spending time with his wife and family.

He enlisted in the Army National Guard when he was 17. While there he completed courses in combat signaler and Infantryman. He was a part of the National Guard for three years.

Jerry’s last place of employment was Hope Enterprises in which he was a supervisor of the custodial department.

He enjoyed going to auctions, yard sales, flea markets and selling items on Ebay. He also enjoyed playing Black Jack.

He will be extremely missed by all who knew him. He was caring, kind and hilarious. All who knew him will miss his laugh and beautiful smile.

Thank you to all of the home health aides and nurses from Susquehanna Health Home Care & Hospice. You are all amazing.

Jerry will be donating his body to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Humanity Gifts Registry. The arrangements for such haven been entrusted to the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Lock Haven.

There will be a celebration of Jerry’s life at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 229 S Broad St, Jersey Shore, PA 17740 on Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 1 until 3 P.M.
