Joseph Johnstonbaugh Obituary

Joseph C. Johnstonbaugh, 93, of Pennsylvania Ave., Mill Hall, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Nightengale’s Personal Care Home, Mill Hall.

He was born in Mill Hall on November 14, 1925, the son of the late George H. and Marjorie E. Earon Johnstonbaugh.

Joe was a Veteran of the United States Army and served in World War II.

In 1948, he married the former Irene I. Gutt, who preceded him in death on November 1, 2010.

Joe was employed by his parents at Mill Hall Milk Products where he proudly delivered milk to the Renovo Area for many years. In his later years, he worked at the Central Pennsylvania Auto Auction until his retirement.

Joe was a social member of the Castanea Fire Hall. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing and going to his camp. He was also an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State Football.

He is survived by a son, Michael J. (Kelly) Johnstonbaugh of Castanea; three daughters, Jeanne M. (Grant) Miller of Mill Hall, Joanne M. (Bob) Rounsley of Lock Haven and Melissa A. (George) Jacobs of Lewisburg; two sisters, Vivan Welch of State College and Kay Munro of Avis; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, Joe was preceded in death by two brothers, John J. and George L. Johnstonbaugh.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745.

Private interment will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Alzheimer’s Association.
