Heaven gained a beautiful angel on Sunday, January 13, 2019 in Mary Helen Garcia.
Mary Helen was 91 years old and lived an extraordinary life. She spoke five languages and during her career she was an administrator of schools for Keystone Central School District.
She loved to dance, sing, and get involved in politics. Mary Helen received excellent care from Juniper Village at Brookline, Susque-View Home Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, as well as from her nieces and nephew.
Preceding her in death was her soulmate and husband, Mariano Garcia, her beloved brother, George Edward Shilling, her loving mother and father Helen and George Shilling.
She is survived by her sister in law, Carol Shilling, beloved family in Spain, and several nieces and nephews.
A private Celebration of Life will be held for Mary Helen Garcia under the direction of the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made to either the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society through the funeral home.
