Nevin Courter Obituary
Nevin L. Courter, 82, of Lamar passed away Monday, October 21, 2019 at Susque View Home, Lock Haven.
Born August 31, 1937, he was a son of the late Clair and Elizabeth (Knecht) Courter.
Nevin was a 1956 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
After several years of dairy farming, he began his own excavation business, Courter’s Excavation. He was also the owner of the former .64 Water Company.
Nevin served many years as a Supervisor for Porter Township.
He enjoyed collecting antique farm tractors.
Surviving is his companion of 40 years, Joyce A. Bower of Lamar; his son, Kenneth Lee Courter; his grandsons, Kenneth Lee Courter, Jr. and Logan Fuller; two brothers, Paul L. and Blair E. Courter; his sister, Lois (Courter) Rogers; and his companion’s children, Bill Bower and Debora Bower.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Jo (Courter) Tressler.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services.
