Norma Miller Obituary

Norma L. Miller, 88, of McElhattan passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 at Haven Skilled Rehabilitation and Nursing, Lock Haven.

Born June 13, 1930 in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late James and Jeanie Cryder.

Norma was a 1948 graduate of Lock Haven High School.

On June 4, 1950 she married her love, Richard B. Miller, with whom she celebrated 59 years of marriage before his passing on August 29, 2009.

Norma was employed by the Bank of Central Pennsylvania until her retirement. She was then employed at Walmart as a Greeter.

She was a member of St. Luke’s United Church of Christ.

Norma was also a member of the Eastern Stars for more than 50 years.

Surviving are her two children: Jeffrey L. Miller of McElhattan and Barbara E. (Roy) Beck of Montoursville; her sister, Inez Allen of Lock Haven; a sister-in-law, Mary Miller of Connecticut; and two grandchildren, Samantha and Stephanie Beck.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings: Russell Cryder, Freda Shade, Sterling Cryder, Leanora Kling and Doris Jean Defibaugh.

Private burial will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Park at the convenience of her family.

Memorial contributions in Norma’s name may be made to St. Luke’s United Church of Christ, 1175 W. 4th St., Lock Haven, Pa 17745.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington.
