Richard Glossner Obituary
Richard H. “Dick” Glossner, Sr., 71, of Mill Hall passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
Born March 7, 1948 in Lock Haven, he was a son of the late Donald and Alice Peters Glossner.
Dick was a 1966 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
On December 24, 1967, he married his love, the former Paula Wheeler, with whom he celebrated 51 years of marriage.
Dick was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Vietnam War.
He was employed by Webb’s Super-Gro as a truck driver.
Dick was baptized at the Monument Church of Christ.
He lived for and was a devoted coach for the Clinton County Special Olympics for 20 years.
Dick enjoyed watching wrestling and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and Nittany Lions.
Along with is wife, Paula Glossner of Mill Hall, he is survived by two children, Betty J. (Donald J.) Confer of Monument and Richard H. “Duke” Glossner, Jr. of Mill Hall; two grandchildren, Donald C. (Kaitlyn) Confer and Jordanna Confer; two great grandchildren, Evy Kay and William Elmer Confer; and his nurses and nurses’ aides who became part of the family: Debbie Couturiaux, Bonnie Bechdel, Jeanne Baker, Deb Lewis, Kylie Couturiaux and Kristina McDermitt.
Visitations will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 from 2 until 4 P.M. and again from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa 17745.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dick’s name may be made to Clinton County Veterans’ Military Share through the funeral home.
