Richard Miller Obituary

Richard Ashton "Woody" Miller, 71, of Honeysuckle Ln., Swissdale, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport.
Woody was born in Huntingdon on December 13, 1946, the son of the late Robert M. and Dorothy J. Brown Miller.
He attended James Buchanan High School in Mercersburg through 11th grade and graduated from Lock Haven High School in 1965 before obtaining his degree from Williamsport Area Community College in 1968.
On April 2, 1966 at the Swissdale United Methodist Church, Woody married the former Cynthia A. Barth, whom survives.
He was employed as a machinist for 48 years at Norcen Industries of Jersey Shore before his retirement in 2015.
Woody was a member of Swissdale United Methodist Church.
He enjoyed woodworking and was an avid fan of Penn State Football.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Amy Lynne (Keith) Bartlebaugh and Wendy Jo Miller, both of Swissdale; two brothers, Robert M. (Nancy) Miller of Greencastle and Mark E. Miller of Swissdale; two grandchildren, Ashton Gianna Ferrara and Kayla Rae Bartlebaugh, both of Swissdale; and a great grandson, Camden I. Fuller of Swissdale.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at 4p.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745 with Rev. Jay Saldana officiating.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2p.m. until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Swissdale United Methodist Church or Divine Providence Cancer Treatment Center, payable to Susquehanna Health Foundation.
