Ronald L. Gallagher, 76, of Mill Hall passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at UPMC Susquehanna Hospital.
Born June 4, 1942 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Harry B. and Mildred Showers Gallagher.
Ron was a 1960 graduate of Lock Haven High School as well as a graduate of the Allentown Police Academy.
On June 20, 1964 he married his love, the former Sandra Swope, who survives.
Ron served as a Police Officer with the Lock Haven City Police Department until his retirement. He was then a Security Guard at International Paper, retiring from there.
He was a member of Mt. Bethel/Salona United Church of Christ as well as the Clinton County Fair.
In his early years, he enjoyed hunting.
Ron’s passion was music. He played guitar and sang in the band “Touch of Past.”
Most important to Ron, though, was his family.
In addition to his wife, Sandra Gallagher of Mill Hall, he is survived by his three daughters: Jody Gallagher of Lattimer Mines, Patricia (Dwane) Kline of Horseheads, NY and Karen (Scott) Andrus of Lock Haven; three grandchildren: Morgan Kline, Alexandria Kline and Nicholas Andrus; his brother, Harry G. (Regina) Gallagher, Jr. of Yardley; his sister, Doris (Michael) Gallagher of Renovo Rd., Mill Hall; his sister-in-law, Jean Gallagher of Avis; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved Sheltie, Ellie Mae.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Gallagher, and his twin, Donald Clair Gallagher who passed away as an infant.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington with Pastor Cindy Killinger officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 3 until 6 p.m.
