Samuel Hardy Obituary

Samuel T. Hardy, 89, formerly of Sturdevant St., Flemington, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Susque View Home, Lock Haven.

Sam was born in Lock Haven on February 14, 1930 and graduated from Lock Haven High School.

He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

Sam worked at Piper Aircraft before his employment at Hammermill Paper, where he worked until his retirement.

He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish and attended St. Agnes Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Lock Haven American Legion, Lock Haven 40&8, Lock Haven Son’s of Italy and Lock Haven Elks Lodge.

Sam enjoyed hunting and fishing in his earlier years.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ann Hardy; his second wife, Rose Mary Counsil Hardy; and a grandson, Tommy Hardy.

Sam is survived by two sons, Wayne (Donna) Hardy and J.T. Hardy; a step-son, Russell (Virginia) Counsil; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 11 A.M. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 3 E. Walnut St., Lock Haven, PA 17745 with Rev. Father Joseph Orr officiating.

Private inurnment will take place at St. Agnes Cemetery, Lock Haven.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Clinton County SPCA.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Moriarty Funeral Home & Crematory, 112 E. Church St., Lock Haven, PA 17745.
