Sarah J. McGill, 94, of Mill Hall passed away Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Susque View Home, Lock Haven.
Born February 24, 1925 in Monument, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Jennifer Grand.
She was married to James L. McGill who preceded her in death in 1996.
Sarah was employed by Keystone Central School District, working in the cafeteria at Lamar Township Elementary School until her retirement in 1992.
She attended Salona Lutheran Church.
Sarah was an avid game player, especially liking Scrabble and Bingo. She also enjoyed cooking and traveling. Most cherished, though, was the time she spent with her family.
Surviving are two children, Debra Moore of Lock Haven and James E. (Stephanie) McGill of Quakertown; six sisters: Ruth Halderman, Namoi Carey, Phebe Manotti, Elisabeth McCauley, Rhoda Faust and Esther Stoffle; four grandchildren: Matthew Moore, Amanda (Curtis) Confer, Nick Marzzacco and Michelle McGill; and three great grandchildren: Chloe, Collin and Cooper Confer.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Joseph Grand, and a sister, Becky Wright.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 11 A.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa 17745 with Rev. Scot Garman officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill, Mill Hall.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 9 A.M. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Susque View Residents’ Activities Fund or Lamar Twp. Fire Company through the funeral home.
