Sheldon Andrus Obituary
Sheldon Wayne Andrus, 64, of Rauchtown passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2019 surrounded by his family at home.
Born October 16, 1954 in Lock Haven, he was a son of Carl E. and Shirley G. Soverns Andrus, Sr.
Sheldon was a 1973 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
On August 2, 1980 he married his love, the former Mary L. Dole with whom he celebrated 39 years of marriage.
Sheldon was employed at Champion Parts and then Travel Centers of America, Lamar in the maintenance department.
He was a member of the Salvation Army.
Sheldon was a past member of the American Legion, VFW, Son’s of Italy, Men’s Club and the Castanea Fire Hall.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and shooting pool.
In addition to his wife, Mary L. Andrus of Rauchtown and father, Carl E. Andrus, Sr. of Lock Haven, he is survived by his children: Kathy Confer, Heidi Zuback, William John (Kelly) Worden, Jr., James (Nancy) Worden and Heather Stover, all of Lock Haven; a grandson, Preston Stover, whom he raised; two brothers, Carl E. (Natalie) Andrus, Jr. of Oklahoma and Neal (Kelly) Andrus of Flemington; a sister, Margaret Andrus of Lock Haven; four brother-in-laws: William Dole of Mill Hall, Marvin Dole of Rauchtown, Danny Dole of Pittsburgh and James (Ruth) Dole of Blanchard; 14 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Sheldon was blessed by many great nurses including Sharon, Barb, Larry, Brandt, Heidi and Shannon; his hospice nurse, Spencer; and Dr. Nesbitt.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at 3 P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa 17745 with Majors Chuck and Marie Harris officiating. Burial will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 6 until 8 P.M.
Memorial contributions in Sheldon’s name may be made to the Clinton County SPCA through the funeral home.
