Timothy Myers Obituary

Timothy A. Myers, 63, of Avis died Thursday, October 11, 2018 at his residence.

Born May 9, 1955 in Jersey Shore, he was the son of William A. and Beverly A. Ritter Myers who survive in Jersey Shore.

On May 5, 1984 in Jersey Shore he married the former Loretta Overdorf who survives.

Tim was a 1973 graduate of Jersey Shore High School. He first worked as a carpenter with his father in their own contracting business. He later went to work for Fred Hamm, Inc. from which he retired.

Growing up he attended ­­­­­­­­­Garman Lutheran Church and later Avis United Methodist Church.

He was a big fan of John Wayne and Andy Griffith and enjoyed collecting movies and memorabilia. He also enjoyed collecting Hess Trucks. Most of all Tim cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren who were his life.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by 2 daughters, Laura Ann Myers (Shawn Wagner) and Lynday Jo Myers (Jeffrey Saar) both of Avis; 1 sister, Debra Gillott of Mifflinburg; 5 brothers: Scott, Lon, and Curtis, all of Jersey Shore, William A., II of Morgantown, WV, and Robin of Allenwood; and 4 grandchildren: Ava, Breanna, Caylee, and Talan.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High Street, Flemington, PA, 17745.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or the Clinton County SPCA through the funeral home.
