Calvin L. Clausen, 94, of Mill Hall, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at UPMC Williamsport. Born August 19, 1926 in Castanea, he was the son of the late Andrew and Lola Straub Clausen. Calvin graduated from Lock Haven High School in 1944. From January 1945 to January 1947, he served in the U.S. Army Air Force with the 98th Bomb Squadron, 11th Bomb Group where he was stationed in Guam as an airplane and engine mechanic on 747 bombers. On June 27, 1949, Calvin married the love of his life, Anna M. Bower, who survives. Along with his brother, Harold "Bud" Clausen, Calvin co-owned and operated Clausen's Painting and Decorating for many years. Calvin was a talented woodworker and especially enjoyed working with cherry lumber. He constructed numerous pieces of furniture over the years for his friends and family. In addition to his wife, Anna, he is survived by two daughters, Karen (John Hunter) Clausen of Florida and Cathy (Lloyd) Hamberger of Waynesboro; a grandson, Christopher Hamberger of West Virginia; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his four brothers: Richard, Harold "Bud," Leslie and Andrew "Manny" Clausen. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family with entombment to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall. Arrangements are under the direction of the Donald G.
