George Johnston Obituary
George J. “Jetson” Johnston, Jr., 61, of Lock Haven passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020 at The Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport.
Born February 7, 1959 in Lock Haven, he was a son of the late George J. and Hannah R. Powers Johnston.
He was a graduate of Lock Haven High School.
George was employed by Smith Furniture, Dunnstown, as a furniture deliverer.
He attended The Salvation Army, Lock Haven.
Jetson was a lifelong member of the Dunnstown Fire Company. He also belonged to the VFW, Moose and Sons of Italy.
Outside of work, his life was being a BINGO caller. He also enjoyed fishing.
Surviving are two daughters, Whitley (Brandon) Hamm of Lock Haven and Faith Wennick; two grandchildren: Ayden and Connor Hamm, both of Lock Haven; his sister, Bonnie Englert of Lock Haven; and two brothers, Thomas Smith of Pottsville and Robert (Valerie) Johnston of Dunnstown.
Private inurnment will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall.
Memorial contributions in George's name may be made to either The Salvation Army or Dunnstown Fire Company through the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa 17745.
