Inez McClain Allen Obituary
Inez R. Cryder McClain Allen, 95, of Lock Haven passed away Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Manor Care, Jersey Shore.
Born July 19, 1924 in Lock Haven, she was a daughter of the late James and Jenny (Bliler) Cryder.
Inez was a 1943 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
In 1948, she married Maxwell R. McClain with whom she shared 25 years of marriage before his passing in 1973. In 1979 Inez was united to marriage to Elmer Allen who preceded her in death in 1998.
From 1945 until 1955, Inez was employed by the New York and Penn Paper Mill. She worked for Suburban Water Authority for 20 years, from 1969-1989. In 1991 she was elected as a Jury Commissioner, retiring in 2001.
Inez was a member of the First Church of Christ.
Surviving are her children, Constance (Michael) Bame of Lock Haven and Steven (Linda) McClain of Maryland.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and Sterling Cryder and four sisters: Freda Shade, Norma Miller, Lenora Kling and Doris Jean Defibaugh.
Private services will be held at the convenience of her family.
Memorial contributions in Inez's name may be made to the First Church of Christ through the funeral home.
