Janet Egan Obituary
Janet J. Egan, 89, of Lock Haven, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at ManorCare, Jersey Shore.
She was born in Kentucky on January 30, 1931, the daughter of the late Ernest and Nancy Hall Probst.
On July 3, 1948 in Lock Haven she married Franklin J. Egan, who preceded her in death on January 30, 2009.
Janet was employed at the Lock Haven Silk Mill and Piper Aircraft before retiring from Snowiss Fur Company.
She was a member of Crossroads Church of Jersey Shore.
Janet enjoyed camping with her family, sewing, crocheting and watching the birds with her husband from their porch.
She is survived by a daughter, Sally E. (Thomas) Hamberger of Lock Haven; five grandchildren, Christy (Robert) Tressler, Eric (Chris) Egan, Mike (Terri) Hamberger, Missy (Adam) Harris and Tammy (Curt) Lannan; 15 great grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Leroy Egan; a grandson, Joseph Hamberger; and three siblings, Eugene Probst, Ailene Chiasson and Billie Probst.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Clinton County SPCA.
Flower deliveries for the private service should be received by noon on Friday, May 22, 2020.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High Street, Flemington, PA 17745.
