Lewis L. Lachat

Lewis L. Lachat, 92, of Lock Haven, passed asway Friday, July 22, 2022.
Born June 22, 1930 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Albert and Edna Herr Lachat.
Lewis was a graduate of Lock Haven High School and a Veteran of the United States Army.
He was employed at Hammermill Paper Company and then International Paper until his retirement.
Lewis was married to the former Patricia Ann Zener, who preceded him in death.
He enjoyed gardening and was especially proud of his strawberry patch that he had for years. He was very handy and enjoyed tinkering around his house on random projects and repairs.
He is survived by three daughters, Susan Kay Lachat of Virginia, Jennifer Lachat of Lock Haven and Lou Ann Lachat of Annville; a brother, Kenneth Lachat of Northumberland; and two sisters, Betty J. Olmstead of Lock Haven and Shirley Russell of North Carolina.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by four brothers, Albert, Edward, William and Charles Lachat; and two sisters, Catherine Lachat and Olive Zerbe.
A time of viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High Street, Flemington, PA 17745.
Private burial will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Clinton County SPCA.
