Louise Powers, 101, of Lock Haven passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 at UPMC Haven Place, Lock Haven.
Born March 13, 1920 in Lock Haven, she was a daughter of Reuben "Roy" and Margaret S. (Douty) Bryerton.
Louise was a 1938 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
She was employed by Clinton Paper and Snowiss Fur Company before working at West Pharmaceutical Services until her retirement.
Louise was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church.
Her favorite pastime was sewing, especially with the Sewing and Quilting Group at her church.
Louise's pride and joy was her family.
She leaves behind three daughters: Margaret Ann Lapriola of Swissdale, Jola J. (Dennis) Naugle of Castanea and Patricia A. (Mike) Marconi of Lock Haven; two sisters, Dorothy Tressler and Pam (Harold) Rodgers, both of Lamar; a brother, Sam Bryerton of Williamsport; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 5 great, great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Thomas Bryerton, Sr., Bruce Bryerton, Sr. and Richard Bryerton.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 1 PM at Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington with Pastor Barbara Yoder officiating. Interment at Rest Haven Memorial Park will follow.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 AM until the time of the service.
Per her family's request, masks will be required.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant United Methodist Church through the funeral home.
