Raymond Dunlap Obituary

Raymond Dunlap, 74, of Lock Haven, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born in Jersey Shore on August 25, 1946, the son of the late Jessie and Hettie Dunlap.

Ray attended Jersey Shore High School before enlisting in the United States Army, serving in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. In 1970, he entered the United States Army Reserves, serving for 21 years before his retirement in 1991.

On August 29, 1970 at the Dunnstown United Methodist Church, Ray married the former Nancy C. Waltz who preceded him in death on October 14, 2018.

He was employed at Hammermill Paper Company before his 26-year career as a truck driver and equipment operator for the Clinton County Solid Waste Authority. Following his retirement, Ray delivered parts for Economy Auto Parts of Lock Haven.

He was a member of the C.C. Cruisers, CM ATV Association and Pine Creek Four-wheeler Club.

Ray enjoyed classic cars and going on cruises with the club, off-road Jeep racing, going on ATV rides and camping. Most of all, he simply loved time spent with his family.

He is survived by two sons, Keith (Shannon) of Woolrich and Chad (Kate) of Dunnstown; five grandchildren, Colton (Julia Knarr) Dunlap, Kalob Mauck, Kylie Koch, Cally Dunlap and Kendall Dunlap; one great-grandson, Caiden Mandel; his companion, Betty Knarr of Avis; and his beloved dog, Ruger.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy Dunlap.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 7 P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High Street, Flemington, PA 17745 with Military Honor’s to follow.

Friends and family will be received for a viewing on Friday from 4 P.M. until the time of the service.

Private burial will be held at Dunnstown Cemetery, Lock Haven.
