Susan Johnson Obituary
Susan J. (McHenry) Johnson, 65, of Lock Haven passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Select Specialty Hospital, Danville.
Born July 29, 1955 in Lock Haven, she was a daughter of Lee J. and Bessie (Peter) McHenry, Jr.
Susan was a 1973 graduate of Jersey Shore High School.
On October 17, 1976, she married her best friend, Steven L. Johnson.
Over the years, Susan held various administrative positions at Geisinger Medical Center, Jersey Shore Hospital and Lock Haven Hospital.
Susan was a member of McElhattan United Methodist Church.
She was also a member of 40 & 8, serving as the treasurer of their Ladies’ Auxiliary.
Susan enjoyed playing cards with the ladies each Tuesday at Restless Oaks and loved vacationing in Lewes, Delaware.
Surviving are her parents, Lee and Bessie McHenry, Jr. of Mill Hall; her husband, Steven Johnson of Lock Haven; her children: Matthew (Michelle) Johnson of Beech Creek and Jennifer Reynolds (Chris Ridler) of McElhattan; five siblings: John (Linda) McHenry, Diane Nichols, Jeffery (Darcy) McHenry, Tammie (Russell) Weaver and Terrie (Chris) Moore; her grandchildren: Benelli Sue Reynolds and Jackson Cooper Ridler; many cousins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Hunter Forest Reynolds.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 11 A.M. at McElhattan United Methodist Church, 502 McElhattan Dr., McElhattan.
Friends and family will be received at the church from 9 A.M. until the time of service.
