Violet Berry Obituary
Violet R. Snyder Berry passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Lock Haven Rehabilitation and Senior Living. She was 96.
Violet was married to Raymond E. Berry on October 30, 1946. They had one son, Dean W. Berry who passed away on December 9, 2010 at the age of 58.
Violet was the daughter of George and Irene Mays Snyder of Mill Hall RD. She graduated from Mill Hall High School where she was an avid basketball player. She attended nurses training at White Plains Hospital, New York. Violet worked at the Sylvania Plant, Mill Hall and Lock Haven Hospital as a nurse's aide for 28 years.
Violet is survived by her sister-in-law, Pat Snyder of Virginia Beach, VA; her caretakers: her nephew, Donald W. Orner and his wife, Susan Rinker Orner of China Spring, TX; as well as many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.
In addition to her husband and son, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Richard Snyder, Charles Snyder and Leonard Snyder; two sisters, Betty Jane Snyder Orner and Lattice Snyder; and by her very dear friend, Joyce Lundy.
Private burial will be at the convenience of the family.
