William Hamilton Obituary

William Clarence Hamilton, 83, of Allenwood passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026 at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport.
Born on July 16, 1942 in Caldwell, he was the youngest of six children born to the late John H. and Martha (Wheeler) Hamilton.
Bill joined the United States Army in 1964 and was honorably discharged after returning from Germany in 1966.
He was married to the former Patricia Crawford who preceded him in death.
Bill was employed at Avco Lycoming for years. He often spoke of his many friends there.
A lover of the outdoors, he was an avid fisherman and hunter. He mentored many nieces and nephews and was often heard telling stories of the outdoors. Bill loved making venison bologna for the hunters.
He also enjoyed going to flea markets and camp with his best friend, Denny Bower.
Bill truly loved his pets: Opey, Miley and Woofie.
In addition to his wife, Patricia Hamilton, he was preceded in death by a son, Harry "Bud" Hamilton; siblings: Shirley Fisher, Betty Furl Carson, John L. Hamilton and Mary Jane Hanley; and a great granddaughter, Baylyn.
Surviving is his sister, Lois Klinefelter Clark of Mill Hall; grandchildren: Seth Hamilton (Paige Noelle McHenry) of Williamsport, Tessa Hamilton of Mifflinburg and Caitlyn Hamilton of Allenwood; daughter-in-law, Sue Hamilton of Allenwood; and eight great grandchildren.
Bill will be deeply missed by many nieces and nephews including Linda Sampsell, John Fisher and Jerry Klinefelter, who look out for him.
His family asks that you remember the good times with Bill and know that even though he was a jokester, he loved his family.
A Celebration of Bill's life will be held at a later date.
